Beware Trucking Jobs are not guaranteed just because you get your CDL or go to trucking school

Beware Trucking Jobs are not guaranteed just because you get your CDL or go to trucking school

Trucking schools will gladly take your money to train you. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking you will definitely get a trucking job right away. Getting a sign contract for pre-hire with date is the only way you are guaranteed employment by a certain time and I don’t know how often that happens.

However, if you want to become a driver and you want to get your CDLs, I don’t think that getting your CDL is a waste of time because i think things will pick up again next year and continue to pick up.

Well there is only one thing that may keep things slow and that is the unintended consequences of the health care bill. If that doesn’t hurt companies too much then I think the economy will grow.

Naturally since the companies are in position to be selective about who they hire the better your record the sooner you will get hired on average. Therefore, the worse your record I am sad to say the longer it may take you to get a job. If your record is bad you may not get a job for a long time because of how many people have became qualified truckers.

Either way don’t sit back waiting for things to return back to the old normal. The old normal is gone and it is a new day. If you want to make sure your prepared for the future decide on where you think the jobs will be available in the economy and get trained.

healthcare services, network security, security, police officer, and other green type jobs will all be needing employees as the economy recovers.

Good luck on however you feel you need to prepare for your future. Just be realistic about your needs and do what you need to do.

He's right, CALL A TRUCKING COMPANY FIRST to see if your MVR and background are qualified. THEN once you get the green light, go to trucking school and keep your record clean 🙂

I don't know if you actually looked at the year of the video. By the way what part was incorrect or misleading or did it kind of play out as stated in the video?

Lot of similarities with all of the biggest companies. However, you will find a wide variety of experiences beyond that.

Hope everything plays out well with what you all are doing Ella. Sounds like you are working it out.
